KS3 Resource Base
The Ashton Park Resource Base is a specialist provision for children with EHCPs for Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
In the Resource Base we strongly believe that all students, regardless of their starting points, are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum. We mirror the curricula taught to mainstream students with an increased focus on core literacy and numeracy skills. Lessons are complemented by individual and group intervention, Speech and Language Therapy and Extra-Curricular Activities.
In Key Stage 3, students are taught English, Maths, Humanities and PSHE in the Resource Base. They join their mainstream peers for Science, PE, Art, Music, Drama and Design Technology.
