SEND Information
Inclusion is at the heart of what we do
Ashton Park School is committed to inclusion. We believe that all students, including those identified as having Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) have an entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum, which is accessible to them. We support all of our students to be fully included in all aspects of school life and our community.

Specialist Resource Base (Speech, Language and Communication needs)
Ashton Park School is proud to run a Specialist Resource Base for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. There are 25 places in total across Key Stages 3 and 4, for students with Education, Health and Care Plans and a primary need of Speech, Language and Communication needs.
Access to this provision is via consultation only through the Local Authority’s SEND team as part of your child’s Key Stage Transfer annual review. Details of the Resource Base curriculum can be found on our website.
Pupil Support Room
The Pupil Support Room offers support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs identified as needing additional support and early-intervention.
The interventions range from six week 1:1 and group work programs to key worker support. The interventions run in conjunction with the student's timetabled mainstream curriculum.
