Mr R Uffendell
Richard graduated in 2000 from St. Luke's College, University of Exeter. He completed his PGCE at the same university. Richard completed his Masters in Education degree in 2011. He has worked in schools in Gloucestershire, Swansea, Devon, North Somerset and Bristol. Â Richard has held various roles including Head of Performing Arts and Head of Physical Education. He worked at South Molton Community College from 2016-2018 as a senior leader and at Priory Community School from 2018-2021 as Vice Principal before being seconded to Worle Community School in 2021-2022. Richard holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship.

Stuart is passionate about working with young people and wants every student at Ashton Park School to be proud of themselves and what they achieve; both in and out of the classroom. Having completed his undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications from the University of Plymouth, Stuart took up his first teaching post in a large comprehensive school in South Gloucestershire, specialising in Geography - a subject that he still has great excitement for. During this time, he completed a variety of roles including Head of Subject, Head of Year and Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for raising achievement. Following this, Stuart moved to working for the central team of a large multi-academy trust, where he continued his work on raising achievement across their secondary schools. Stuart was an Assistant Headteacher and part of a leadership team which successfully removed a school out of Special Measures - Stuart led a range of areas including attendance, behaviour and safeguarding before taking responsibility for teaching, learning and assessment as Deputy Headteacher. Stuart joined Ashton Park School at Easter 2022, taking up the post of Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education).

Mr T Shepheard
Tom received his Bachelor of Arts Honours degree from the University of Sheffield in 2008. After leaving university Tom started his career in teaching by studying for his Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification. Upon successfully achieving his TEFL he taught English at The Gold Apple Bilingual School in Shanghai, China. In 2010 he completed his PGCE at The University of Bristol. Tom undertook the role of teacher of Humanities at secondary schools in Basingstoke and Slough. He became a Senior Leader in a London Fringe school in 2017. Tom was proud to join Ashton Park School in 2020 where he has undertaken the role of Assistant Headteacher.

Miss R Hector
Rowena is Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form. A psychology specialist, she has occupied a number of versatile leadership roles at schools in both Devon and Bristol including Head of Faculty and Deputy Head of Sixth Form. Rowena began her teaching career in 2008 and joined the senior leadership team at Ashton Park School in 2019. Rowena is responsible for overseeing the achievements and progress of all students in years 12 and 13 as well as ensuring every student has a positive learning experience at Ashton Sixth. Rowena is committed to the school's aim of providing an outstanding education and has exciting and dynamic plans for the future direction of the Sixth Form, and the students who are educated here.

Mr R Kennett
Richard graduated in History from University of Bristol before completing his PGCE at the same institution in 2007. He has worked in a variety of leadership roles across Gatehouse Green Learning Trust. Richard worked at Redland Green School from 2007-2018 building up to becoming Head of Humanities. Since then he has worked as an assistant head for GGLT focusing on curriculum and assessment. Richard also holds a Masters in Education, runs CPD nationally and writes history textbooks. He is a trustee and fellow of the Historical Association.

Mr M Mantegna
Mike graduated from the Grammar School Nicosia, Cyprus in 2000 and followed his passion of Sport and Science to complete a degree in Sports Science at Portsmouth University, followed by a PGCE at University College Chichester. Mike started at Ashton Park in 2005 and has worked in many different roles at the school, specialising in pastoral care. Mike is the Safeguarding Lead for Ashton Park School.

Mrs E Pugh
Emma joins  the senior leadership team at Ashton Park after 3 years at City Academy Bristol as Associate Assistant Principal and Head of Expressive Arts. Emma graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) in music in 2005 and stayed to complete a PGCE in secondary music. From 2006, she taught in two large 11-18 schools in Wiltshire, in a variety of leadership roles before relocating to Bristol.

Mrs H Sales
Helena graduated from the University of Bristol in 2002 where she read Economics and Accountancy with Law. She worked in finance and law for several years before studying a PGCE in Mathematics at the University of Leeds in 2005. Helena began teaching maths at Cockburn College of Arts in Leeds, but it was her love of Bristol that brought her back to the South West, originally joining Ashton Park School in 2009. Helena later took up the role of Second in Maths in 2012 at Henbury School and went on to become Head of Maths for seven years at Blaise High School before progressing to Senior Leadership. Helena holds the NPQSL qualification.

Radha received her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Fashion Design from the University of the West of England in 2013. After leaving university Radha decided to embark on a career in teaching; later completing her PGCE. In 2016 she joined Ashton Park school as a teacher of Textiles. Since then she has undertaken a variety of roles within the school such as Head of Year 7 and House Leader; developing her professional experience. Further to this she completed her Masters in Education in February 2022 with a focus on students with trauma and attachment needs. She became a Senior Leader at Ashton Park school in April 2023, taking on the position of SENCo.

Miss C Twist
Carolyn Twist graduated with a BA (HONS) in Humanities, as well as an MA in Philosophy and an MA in Literature. Professional qualifications include a PGCE in Further Education, as well as a PGCE in Secondary Education. Over the years, Carolyn has studied at the University of South Wales, Cardiff University, University of Leeds and The Open University - as she moved around the U.K. Initial teaching experience was gained in Leeds and Bradford before moving to Bristol, where she has taught in a couple of secondary schools, in a variety of leadership roles. Following three years as Senior Professional Mentor, Carolyn is now the Senior Leader for Literacy.
